Glenn Wheatley was an Australian entertainment industry figure known for his roles as a musician, band manager, and media entrepreneur. He rose to prominence as the bass guitarist for the iconic Australian rock band, The Masters Apprentices, in the 1960s and 1970s.

After his performing career, Wheatley transitioned into band management, famously managing John Farnham in the 1980s. He masterminded Farnham's hugely successful comeback album, "Whispering Jack," which became one of the best-selling albums in Australian history.

Wheatley also ventured into media ownership, including radio stations. However, his career was marked by financial difficulties and legal troubles, including a jail sentence for tax evasion. He passed away in February 2022 due to complications from COVID-19. His impact on the Australian music industry is undeniable, particularly due to his work with John Farnham.
